A friend once lost one of her pets and was so distraught that she mourned it for weeks. Some people do not understand the attachment he had for the poor puppy. While most people cannot understand why a human should love their pets more than even humans, pet lovers, on the other hand, have a hard time believing they are misunderstood.

Today we are going to see the issue from a different perspective.

Animals have souls like human beings. But the souls of animals are rather fluid and not individualistic like those of the human soul. In the same way, even trees and rocks have their own souls, but their souls are rather forces of the elements that inhabit trees and like their houses. There are stories of trees that refuse to fall and that even bulldozers cannot knock down; or if it was knocked down, it stands up again. Such stories are not only found in superstitious Africa but also in Scandinavian countries, where some of the natives still have connections with the forces of the elements. Even rocks have their own beings that inhabit them, just like flower elves inhabit flowers, where the flower is far from human habitation and cannot be disturbed by humans.

But animal souls are different from these, as they are imbued with an independent movement. All elephants, for example, have souls that, after death, return to the common pool like a river, to incarnate again next to a small part of the pool that flows into the animal in the middle of gestation. Thus, in principle, no animal is destined to be the reincarnation of another, except in special circumstances.

These special circumstances can be of two types. The first is by applying the strongest force on earth, the power of Love. When a man loves his pet, the radiation of love can hold the soul of the pet together, making it individualistic and, therefore, if the pet dies , the soul is not allowed to flow back to the group soul. In this condition, the animal can reincarnate and can still search for the former owner if it is intuitively alert to recognize it.

The second is of rarer application. There are also animals in the higher realms that have nothing to do with animals in the realm of animism. However, these cannot incarnate in animal bodies but in HUMAN BODIES. Therefore, not every human being is a normal human being.
