Holiday shopping is a great example of the 3 reasons online shopping is better. Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, the day people literally push, shove, and fight over items in stores. I have personally experienced this behavior and was very horrified by the event. It’s basically a time of panic and desperation to find gifts for everyone on your list. Even gift cards are purchased at the store. I remember waiting in line for an hour just to get two gift cards from a well-known department store. Now mind you, this is the busiest shopping time of the year. But there are other holidays that can fill the stores.

Parking is amazing and also a struggle to find. The parking lot is packed to the brim and people try to run you over to get an available spot. And accidents happen, you put your car at risk: dents, bumps or possible crashes. Or maybe it’s raining or snowing and you have to park all the way in “North Forty” and walk in the weather. I myself am not a big fan of cold and rain, especially when they are doing both at the same time. Being the gentleman that I am, I leave my family at the door and suffer the weather myself, complaining all the time.

You’re almost out of stock by the time you finish shopping and if you brought the kids, they’re out of stock too. Most children love to go to the store at first, but then they get bored and tired and usually complain and want to go home. Sellers are frustrated and overworked, they definitely don’t want to be there. So again, why is it better to buy online?

Reason number one: Time. The time you spend looking for a parking space. The time you spend looking through the store. The time you spend standing in lines at stores waiting to pay. The time you spend looking for your car.

Reason number two: Savings. Let’s start with the gasoline spent going from store to store and from mall to mall. The time saved by not driving all over town. Most people know that stores offer more savings and discounts when you shop online. And last but not least, save your health.

Reason number three: This is the main one, Convenience. Your computer is right in front of you. Stay home, save gas, and most businesses have free delivery, no heavy packages to carry. You don’t have to carry the kids with you. Shop in minutes and not wasted hours of the day. Save money by not having to go out to eat while shopping, have a good and healthy meal at home. No pushing, shoving and fighting over items to buy. No hassles and rudeness from dirty people.

Of course, these are just a few of the reasons online shopping is better. You may have some of your own. I’ve found shopping online to be more relaxing and less stressful than shopping in retail stores. A trend has started to develop where more and more stores are moving to online shopping and promoting and selling. The Internet is a vast cyberspace filled with ways to improve your life. All in all, it’s better to shop smart than hard. You do not agree?
