Chelsea is launching a £ 25 million offer for Santos’ wonder boy Neymar. His performance in the last 12 months has attracted the interest of Chelsea and other European clubs. In 2010, he scored a total of 27 goals in 29 games. Neymar’s main achievement is helping Santos win the Paulista Championship in Brazil. In addition, he won the best player award for his brilliant performance and scoring 14 goals in 19 games.

Neymar’s name is Neymar da Silva Santos Junior and he was born in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil on February 5, 1992. He made his debut with Santos against Oeste Futbol Clube at the age of 17 on March 7, 2009. Santos won the match 2- 1. A week later, he scored his first goal for the club in his next appearance against Mogi Mirim Esporte Clube. He is considered one of the most exciting young talents to ever come out of South America. Because of this, Santos has tied Neymar to a contract until 2014 and has a release clause of £ 28.4 million. Any club that wants Neymar’s service will have to shell out a staggering amount of money. However, Chelsea’s offer of £ 25 million could be enough to persuade Santos to accept the offer.

Chelsea has been following the teenager’s development and made no move to sign him until he was 18 years old. Brazilian rules prohibited him from registering with a team outside of Brazil. Lastly, it is 40% owned by a group of investors, but in order to play in England, third-party owners would have to be bought out entirely.
