Faith healing dates back to ancient Greek and Roman times, where the god of medicine, Asclepius, was hailed as the ultimate healer. In addition to this “god”, there were many other gods and idols used by healers when they practiced their art. The Bible also mentions many cases where faith healing was used successfully. The case of Naaman’s bathing ritual produced a full recovery from his leprosy condition. The New Testament of the Bible also has many examples of faith healing, some of which were performed by Jesus himself.
RECEIVE HEALING THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD
Psalm 107:19-20; Then they cried to the LORD in his distress, and he delivered them out of his distress. He sent the word from him and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
The above scripture says in verse 20; that the word of God heals us from diseases and ailments, it also frees us from anguish and destruction.
You can imagine how vital the word of God is. It is food for the spirit, giving us energy for a victorious life in Christ Jesus. That is why the scripture says in Hebrews 4:12; “Because the word of God is alive and effective. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between the soul and the spirit, between the joints and the marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Any other weapon can cut or destroy the flesh and the whole body, but only the word of God can penetrate to cut between the soul and the spirit. The word of God is much more powerful!
PRAYER POINTS FOR HEALING.

O Lord, forgive me all my sins, committed knowingly and unknowingly, Father, have mercy on my life and let my sins be washed away in the blood of the lamb that was slain.
I destroy by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ all sickness, pain, ailment in my body, and I declare that I have been washed through the blood of Jesus!
I decree and declare that I am healed by the wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Oh Lord, my healing is only in your hands. I command every disease in my body manipulated by the devil to be set on fire in the name of Jesus!
Oh God, visit every part of my body now and perform the surgery that the doctors of this world cannot understand in Jesus name!
I invite all healing Angels to come down and assist in the divine surgery being performed on my body now in Jesus name!
I command every disease to listen to the word of God that this body of mine is the temple of the Holy Spirit, therefore, disappear in the mighty name of Jesus!
I cast out all sickness from my body regardless of their names, because it is written: I will decree a thing and it will be established. Therefore, I regain my good health in the mighty name of Jesus!
I uproot and dishonor everything that God has not planted in my body, in the name of Jesus!
Oh God, rise up and let the enemy of my health scatter in Jesus name!
