Knowing God is the same as knowing an earthly father. It is about developing a good relationship, through openness and intimacy, just as we would with an earthly parent. It would be foolhardy to stand in a building or on the street and profess our love for a father we don’t know. We’d laugh if we came across someone who didn’t know his father yelling and bragging about how much they love his father, but this is exactly what happens on the weekends in our church parks and on our streets.
If we would spend time getting to know the father, we would soon discover that there is a lot of security and protection in our lives. Peace and security will prevent us from wanting to go out and kill our brothers and sisters. Being in the presence of God will bring us the greatest peace of all, it is a peace that surpasses all understanding and we can only achieve it by spending time in the presence of God, in prayer and meditation.
Don’t be fooled by people who tell us that God’s words are written in some holy book. Because the word of God is alive and effective. It is sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates to divide the soul and the spirit, the joints and the marrow; judge the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4″ cannot be edited or changed as the holy books have been edited and changed from Languages to Languages. Now we have to make a decision, if we are serious about being closer to God the father. I am a parent and I will not force, coerce or manipulate my children to get close to me, but my heart and arms are always open to them when they need me.
Man and God can be so closely united that the two become one Just like Jesus and the father. That is why Jesus can say that the father and I are one. Or like Paul and Timothy when Paul said when you see Timothy you see me. It is up to us the type of relationship we choose to have with the heavenly or indwelling father. We can get as close as we decide to go to the heavenly father, just as an earthly son or daughter can get as close to an earthly father as up and down. We might even reach a point in the relationship where we are not just sons and daughters, but close friends with the heavenly father. “Just as Abraham became friends with his God” Draw near to God and He will draw near to us, this is what the Scripture tells us” (James 4:8). The closer we get to God, the more we become like him, then it will be easy to follow his commandment to be holy because he is holy.
I assure you that you will hear the voice of God in your quiet moments if you wish. In his book, Conversation with God, Neale Donald Welsch gives us an excellent example of what it is like to be in the presence of God. “He said that no feeling you get from any outside stimulus or source is anything like the total happiness of inner communion. The quickest way to get to a place of love and concern for all humanity is to see all humanity as your family”. God’s voice cannot be heard and his present cannot be felt under the pretext of religion. Although there are some good points about religion.
Religion can make us want to seek God and even learn about grace and mercy. But some religions are there to trick and confuse us into giving them our money. When we begin to listen to God we will find our purpose in this world and we will have the peace of God in our hearts. We will understand what the ancient sages wrote. We will understand the Words of the (Scriptures) more fully when we read and study them; we will receive revelations of His truth. We will become like the psalmist, when he said: “I have more understanding than all my teachers; because your testimonies are my meditations. I understand more than the ancients because I keep your precepts” (Ps. 119: 99,100). The closer we get to the father, the more we will understand about him. Then we will have reached a place where we will delight in the voice of the father and the more we will want to hear from him.
We should be able to see in these passages of Scripture what Christ really wants for all of us. It is not for us to spend time worshiping him, but to get to know the father better. When we meet the father we will know that we are not a miserable sinner full of guilt and shame, but sons and daughters of the Most High God. “We will also know that we are eternal beings having an earthly experience. We will discover that there is no need to work for eternal life because we are already eternal beings. In Jeremiah 1:5 King James Version (KJV) we read 5 before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you came out of the womb I sanctified you and made you a prophet to the nations. This was God speaking to Jeremiah! In (John 17:3). The Christ who is in us wants us to have a strong desire to know God the Father, he wants us to seek God and when we diligently seek God, we are sure to find him in every living thing that should prevent us from killing needlessly. the spirit is in every living creature, because he is the creator of all living things.” So when we call, our Lord will surely answer us; you will cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am’” (Isaiah 58:9).
When we really listen to the words of God, we will soon realize that God is not only present in all of us, but is present in all living things and can speak to us through all living things. God speaks to us in a variety of ways (His Word can be placed directly into our hearts) either through dreams, visions, impulses, pulls, and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, or even words spoken through mentors, teachers, prophets, or any individual through whom He chooses. We are never alone: “And sometimes when we find ourselves in a place of confusion we will hear that still voice in our ears saying, ‘This is the way to go, walk on it, when you veer off to the right hand.’ , and when you turn aside to the left’” (Isaiah 30:21). I will be there. It’s a shame that we have to listen to the words of evil men in the form of religion and let it separate us from our brothers and sisters or even some of the people we should be most fond of, but these evil men have their reasons. It was only when the spirit of God said to me: “Do you think those evil people would give you their good things?” that I began to question religion and began to find it wanting. It is really difficult to find God where love is not present.
Religious people are well versed when it comes to holy books but they will never know God because his words are not in them and a person can only give you what he has. Jesus gave Peter the key to the kingdom of heaven because it was his to give. The key in this case means the authority to open the door to heaven. Peter used the key to open the door to all who were present in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost. That door is still open for all of us today if we choose to listen to the still voice of the tasty calling to our hearts. That same key that was given to Peter can be given to all of us who choose to listen to the voice of God. God has no special people because he is the god of all mankind. We will know when we leave religion and get closer to the father. In Matthew we read Jesus pointing to his disciples, he said: “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, that is my brother, my sister and my mother.” But how can we know what God’s will is for our lives if we cannot hear his voice?
We like most fools to listen to our egos and the egos’ religious leaders and say that we are doing God’s will. We need to change lives and become like a little child where there are no bad motives in our action. This is repentance, the act of casting off the ego and false doctrine. It is difficult for Church leaders to repent because many of them are treated like kings and princes of our churches. God’s Word and the “Holy Spirit are truly alien to them. They cannot receive God’s words because they cannot see or hear God in their lives. He is not a part of their lives because they are too busy counting their lives.” . money and oppressing the People of God, They cannot find the time to sit still and listen.
But you, my dear readers, will know God once you start meditating. God dwells within all of us and he will always remain with us until the end of time. I will not leave you nor forsake you, that is God’s promise to those who hunger and thirst for his justice.
We have his promise and the promise of the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. The Holy Spirit is the creative aspect of God the Father. It could be said that she is the maternal aspect of the Divine and, like all mothers, she is very protective when it comes to her children. Let her be our best friend and our best resource. She is always on hand, always ready to make sense of the Scriptures as we meditate on them. She just remembers to ask the right questions. So, if we are not listening to the Voice of God, it is because we are not asking, seeking or listening.
Have our religions become a stumbling block for us? But if we put aside what we think we know, we will find that the father is trying to guide us on the path of righteousness. Then we too can say as Christ said in Luke 4 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and sight to the blind, to set the oppressed free, The gospel means Good News. my door and tell me that I had a debt, which is good news. The good news is not that we are sinners but that we are all sons and daughters of God. “On that day we will know that Christ is in the Father and that we are in Christ. The first mistake we make is to see God as a King and not as a loving father. Kings are very protective of a kingdom, but all kingdoms belong to God and he is happy to share them with his sons and daughters.
When we truly surrender our egos and start living for each other. We will become more and more aware of His presence, experiencing that “unity” with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and, as we learn to walk in His Will, He will make Himself known to us through all living beings to the life of all those who touch or touch us. “But when the Counselor comes, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me. And you also will bear witness” (John 15:26,27). The Holy Spirit will give “testimony” of the Christ in us; she will vivify in us a knowledge; she will bring indicators and signs of God’s presence in us – circumstances, occurrences, events, interactions – that she can use to show us the god that is within all of us.
The other mistake we make is thinking that we can bribe God with Parsos and fake news. We are not wiser than the creators, so why do we think we are? Only when we begin to treat God with the love and respect that many earthly children give to a parent will we find that all our needs are met. Then we too, like King David, can say The Lord is my shepherd, I will not want.
