Two weeks ago a customer called with a problem he was having in his business. He owned a great restaurant, he had it for years. It seems more that his customers were enjoying his inventory. He was missing items from the freezer and his fridge almost daily.

He had two worker shifts with close to 100 employees, so it was not obvious who was at fault. Most of his employees had been with him for years. He thought his manager was honest, but he wasn’t really sure.

What he needed was another set of eyes to see what was going on when he couldn’t be there. He needed something that would catch thieves and catch them red-handed.

I suggested the All-Inclusive Wall Clock Hidden Spy Camera with Built-in DVR. He’s good at what he does, but has technical problems like many of us, myself included. He ordered one and chose a spot that would show both the front and freezer doors. He replaced another wall clock so as not to arouse suspicion.

After reading the instructions he realized how easy it was to use. She set it up when no one was around and made sure she had the correct 50 degree field of view.

The next day using the remote control he started recording. Adjusted the speed to get a high resolution image. At 12fps and 640X480 resolution, you were able to get 48 hours of medium quality recording time on the 8GB SD card.

Of course, the motion activated feature ensures that there is a minimum of “down” time. The date/time stamp feature will be useful in any legal proceeding and can pinpoint “who it was”.

Very few evidence collection procedures are as robust as videotaping a crime in progress. That is why surveillance cameras are so popular in businesses around the world.

After two short days, Bill had his boy. The hidden camera on the wall clock showed one of his cooks making too many trips to the freezer and going in and out the back door instead of going back to the kitchen.

He confronted his cook with the evidence and quickly obtained a guilty plea and a resignation. He’s not sure if he’s going to press charges.

I was so happy that I got a dinner invite and a sense of well-being by helping my client.

If you want a simple and obvious way to record what’s going on when you’re not there, THIS IS IT!
