For the second year in a row, Intuit has given accountants a compelling reason to upgrade to QuickBooks for Accountants 2010. In addition to all the wonderful new features found in Quickbooks Pro and Premier 2010 this year, Intuit has added additional Data Review tools. customers and made improvements to Intuit Statement Writer.

If you haven’t yet upgraded to QuickBooks for Accountants 2009 and haven’t experienced the new Customer Data Review Tool, you’re in luck! My team and I spend most of the day troubleshooting common customer data entry errors that are easy to find but can take a long time to correct. That was before the new customer data review tools that were introduced last year. I didn’t think it could improve, but the improvements in the 2010 edition are incredible. It’s a must-have for accountants working with QuickBooks – we couldn’t live without it!

Expanded! Customer data review

It’s like a spell checker for your client’s QuickBooks files. Cleaning up errors in your clients’ files just got easier with the expanded Client Data Review (CDR) feature in Premier Accountant 2010.

On one screen, you have the tools to instantly focus on errors and reduce the time you spend reviewing transactions and reports.

  1. Reclassify hundreds of transactions or cancel multiple invoices, statement charges, and finance charges from a single window
  2. Identify negative inventory items in two clicks, then correct them directly in Customer Data Review.
  3. Identify and make adjustments to configure items incorrectly, including “one-sided items”
  4. Automatically correct incorrectly posted sales tax liability payments
  5. From QuickBooks Premier Accountant 2010, you can use Accountant’s Copy to correct and submit customer files from QuickBooks Pro and Premier 2009
