Salt beds are great ways to clean crystals without having to soak them in salt water. Soaking softer crystals in salt water is not recommended, as this can damage the crystal. So this is a fun alternative if you like to use sea salt as a cleaning method. Crystal clearing is important for all crystals as they need to be cleared of energetic debris and impressions from previous healing sessions or simply being handled by others and having energetic impressions attached to them.

This is a fun and enjoyable clearing technique that I think many crystal practitioners overlook. When your crystals rest on a bed of sea salt, the salt absorbs negative energy, traces, debris, and any issues the crystals retain from your previous work. This type of cleansing is very effective, even for those crystals that do not retain the energy of a session, as it provides them with a boost of energy to keep their own vibrational output at a high level.

To use a bed of sea salt, simply layer a sufficient layer of sea salt on a small glass plate. Make sure there is enough salt for the amount of glass(es) you are cleaning. You can clean more than one crystal at a time using this method; just make sure you have enough salt for them to rest comfortably without touching the other crystals. Once again, the salt will absorb the energy from the crystals, so it is always better to have more salt than not enough. Place your crystals on top of your generous mound of coarse sea salt and let them sit overnight for a deep clean.
