Good writers are wordsmiths. Like the building blocks, they have acquired the skills to carefully choose words that will convey specific meanings to their readers around the world.

Acquiring the skills to write texts that add value to your readers takes time and a lot of effort. It’s not a tea party.

You have to get out of your comfort zone, read anything under the sun, sleep less at night, stay on your computer until your kingdom comes, surf the net for specific information, etc.

But, above all, you have to write, write and write. Reading is only 1%, while practicing is 99%. There is no magic in making good copies. It’s more practical than talking.

But, when you write good copy, you have to let the world know about it.

In this 21st century, the computer and the Internet have reduced our world to a global family. It used to be called a global village. Of course you know this.

So how do you market your writing skills to the world? Good question. The Internet is a global library and a powerful and dynamic marketplace for all.

Therefore, any product or service you provide to mankind can find ready buyers online and offline.

Websites, blogs, social networks, emails, forums, directories, online advertising agencies, etc. are good platforms to advertise.

But let me be real with you, my brother, my sister. Like every endeavor under the sun, there is no quick fix approach to promoting yourself first and then making money online.

It is work first before payment. When he goes to some restaurants in Nigeria and abroad, he orders his meals before payment. Yes, some will demand money before meals.

But, in the business of online writing, you have to work, research, read, navigate and request specific information from Google, or any of the search engines.

For days, weeks, months, or even years, you have to continue to advertise your presence, distribute nearly all of your products for free, and then wait patiently for the conversions to start pouring in.

But, the truth is that in a world of good, bad and ugly, trust online and offline is a big deal. You have to earn the trust of your readers.

As of 2015, online reports quoted the international telecommunications union estimating that in a world of roughly 7 billion people, 3.2 billion of them use the internet.

About 2 billion people in developing countries and 89 million in least developed countries also use the Internet.

These figures show a huge market for writers. But, before I say goodbye, remember the angle of trust that I told you before. God bless humanity.
