What is salvation?

Salvation is the act of being delivered from sin, destruction, and evil. When we are saved, we are safe or free from the law of sin and death. Salvation is possible thanks to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God the Father feels his Son Jesus as the Savior of the world for all mankind.

Jesus made atonement for our sins by shedding His blood and dying for us on the cross of Calvary. Jesus shed his blood on the cross as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of the world. God’s word says that we were bought with a price and Jesus paid the price for our lives. The blood of Jesus confirmed the covenant between God and his people. The book of Galatians tells us that Christ bought us with his blood and made us free from the Law.

Because of the price that Jesus Christ paid for us, the law can no longer punish us. Christ redeemed our souls by carrying the burden of our sins and burdens and being punished in our place. The price that Jesus paid with his life for us made us free from the curse of the law of sin and death. Jesus was made a curse for us by hanging him on the cross because it is written that anyone who hangs on a tree or a cross is cursed, hated and punished.

Salvation Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of your Son Jesus, the name above all names. I recognize that I am a sinner and that only you can save me from my sins. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. The word says that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and if I believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, then I will be saved from my sins. I believe that your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, shed his precious blood for me on the cross of Calvary. I believe according to the Holy Scriptures that Jesus died on the cross, he was buried, and that he rose again on the third day for my salvation. Now I am willing to turn away from the world and my sins. I ask Jesus to come into my life and become my personal Lord and Savior. I ask you to wash me, cleanse me of all evil and injustice and fill me with your precious Holy Spirit. According to your word, from this very moment I am saved! Thank you Lord for always being with me and for the new life in You.

Amen!

Celebration in heaven for you

God’s Word tells us in Luke 15:10 that there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when a single sinner repents. That means that right now because you accepted Christ as your Savior, the angels in heaven are rejoicing that your soul was saved from destruction. As we celebrate your salvation here on earth, just know that the angels in heaven are also rejoicing with us because another soul has been added to the Kingdom of Heaven.
