To reduce the rate in the community, there is a need to seek and obtain literacy scholarships for schools. Funding is needed in areas where low-income children need to be introduced to books and pictures to help them become familiar with letters, numbers, and symbols as well.
As they face the daily challenges of growing up, children who read aloud are prepared to learn more in the future. Continuous reading improves vocabulary and strengthens the emotional bond with their parents and teachers.
Parents, grandparents, or caregivers often read bedtime stories to children. Later in preschool, they will listen to their teacher read books aloud and experience other activities such as building letter blocks, singing songs, solving riddles, watching DVDs, and playing games and toys.

Listening, for example, allows students to develop their comprehension skills by focusing on what is being taught and remembering it later. Reading many books that they can hold generates greater knowledge. Meanwhile, speaking means engaging students in conversations with two or more people to develop their speaking skills. Writing helps students make sense of what they have learned and connect ideas to their own lives.
If they develop their reading habits, they gain positive thoughts and feelings at the same time, and are more likely to enjoy and love it as adults.
Psychosocial and emotional problems sometimes arise when children have difficulty expressing themselves and understanding others. This may be a sign of language delay, which can be caused by poor listening and reading skills.
It is hoped that obtaining literacy grants for schools from an organization committed to child development and education will end illiteracy and help the nation move into the future.
